A website has revealed what it believes to be the plotline for the hottest and most highly anticipated property in gaming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and it ends with a final shootout in a Dubai hotel.
While the game developers have remained tightlipped on the subject, it is believed that the “final mission occurs in Dubai, where Yuri, Price and Sandman (characters in the game) launch an assault on a heavily guarded hotel, eventually finding Makarov and, yes, finally killing him”.
The game is not the only one to feature Dubai. The soon to release Spec Ops: The Line, by 2K Games, follows a U.S. Army captain and his team of elite special-ops forces as they launch a suicidal rescue mission after Dubai is destroyed by a series of cataclysmic sandstorms.
The game’s official website is blocked in the region due to the controversial plot and subject matter.
It is not currently known whether Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will also be banned. The game is due to be released in November.
