Rotana has welcomed Vicky Varfis as its new corporate vice president for sales and revenue.

She has spent 25 years in the industry — including 20 with Marriott — and moves from N.Daskalantonakis Group Grecotel & Classical Hotels. She gained a degree in marketing management from Deree, the American College in Athens.

Varfis will be working on developing the local, regional and international sales and revenue channels for Rotana, in keeping with the expansion plans which will see Rotana managing around 14,000 rooms across in the region by the end of 2012.
