Bahraini national, Hassan Ali Hassan Mohsin picked up the HR Person of the Year gong at the Hotelier Middle East Awards on Thursday.
Judges were impressed with his role as government relations officer at Crowne Plaza Bahrain.
He showed extreme initiative and resilience in the relationships he has formed with various government agencies, genuinely going above and beyond the call of duty to fix visa issues, organize sponsorship and keep his team safe and secure in Bahrain.
Mohsin said: "I am very happy to win this award. I try to support the staff in every way and whenever they are in a difficult situation I will always be there for them. I am with them. I work with the government, immigration, Ministry of Health, I try to help and support to make things easier. I have contacts with them and if they need anything they help me."
He added: "In the future I would like to be a HR manager."
Highly Commended nominees were Alena Miatlushka from Holiday Inn Downtown Kuwait and Santosh Poudel from InterContinental Doha.
