21. Derin Cameron CEO, Alshamel International. CEO and founding partner of Alshamel International, Derin Cameron has led the company to become the most successful Travel Management Company in Kuwait.With 25 years experience in the travel industry, Cameron has redefined the country's travel market and taken Alshamel from just six employees in 1998, to the region's fastest growing TMC with over 400 employees today. In 2000, Cameron tied up with Sato Travel, bringing them to the region and Alshamel became the largest travel provider to the US Government and military in the region. Cameron later successfully negotiated a tie-up with multi-national TMC Carlson Wagonlit Travel to be their exclusive travel partner in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and UAE. The past year has seen Cameron successfully complete a long-time project ? the implementation of a 'one company' network across all Alshamel offices across the region, to help serve customers more effectively. The dynamic CEO has also been busy assembling a brand new top-level management team at Alshamel International, replete with leading figures from the global travel market, who will no doubt help in her quest to become the most successful TMC in the region by the end of 2012.
