Tried and Tested: Cadogan Hotel
It was hard not to imagine what the walls had seen in their time, more than I could write here no doubt. The narrow corridors on split levels added to the air of Nineteenth-century naughtiness. A hearty well-cooked breakfast was served while classical music drifted around the room and I have never felt so English. There is a great collection of art on the walls, available for purchase, one piece in particular, depicting a horse, would certainly have met the approval of Middle Eastern guests interested in equestrianism. The staff were attentive, but subtle and were never too invasive or too remote to cater to any need or question.
